The Church Needs You!

Do you have the feeling that the church can get along just fine without you?  That’s just not true!  Everyone is important and needed in the church.  In fact you are vital to the life of the church.  I would like to point out just a few of the reasons the church would do a lot better because of your presence.

You are an encouragement to others when you are present.  It lifts the spirits of everyone present to have you in worship.  God delights in our fellowship with one another.  He longs for us to worship Him together.  The body is not complete without all its parts, and you are an important part.

The church needs your talents.  God has given everyone the ability to do different things.  If we were all carpenters there would not be any food to eat.  The same thing holds true in the church.  Each person adds another dimension to the church which adds to entire body.  What are some things that you can do?  Smile, share a testimony, pray, sing, teach, play an instrument, cook, greet people, start an exercise group, athletics, drama ministry, puppet ministry, carpentry, visiting others.  This is just a very small list, God’s list is unlimited.

Not only will you be a blessing to the church, I believe the church will be a blessing to you.  The church is full of caring people working together to help build the kingdom of God.  It is not full of perfect people.  Far from it.  Just people who know they are far better off with God than without Him.  People who have been forgiven and sometimes still need forgiveness.  People wanting and learning to live for Christ and to be more like Him.

It is a wonderful atmosphere, but it would be even better with you!  Come join us.  You are wanted and needed.
